Plan with Spiritual Director & Lector Cell Core Team for meaningful and reverent liturgy.
Liturgical Guidelines for Animating Communities
Essential norms from the parish liturgical committee for 8:45 AM Sunday Mass- 1 Spiritual Director Meeting: Meet your Spiritual Director at least 10 days in advance to plan the Liturgy.
- 2 Liturgy Submission: Submit the final liturgy to your Spiritual Director 1 week in advance along with the names of appointed readers.
- 3 Reader Practice: Train new readers. The practice session of the appointed lectors will be conducted by the Lector Cell Core Team.
- 4 Lector Assistance: In case the community has no lectors, please consult the Lector Cell Core Team in advance.
- 5 Youth Altar Servers: Encourage Youth to serve as Altar Servers (they may wear capes instead of the standard server dress).
- 6 Creative & Reverent: Make the Liturgy creative, devotional, and meaningful for the celebrating congregation.
- 7 Community Participation: Inform Community members well in advance and encourage them to occupy the front pews.
- 8 Offertory Procession: Your community is welcome to organize an Offertory procession with symbolic gifts and community offerings.
- 9 Date Changes: In the event a date must be adjusted, your community will be informed and an alternate date allotted.
